06/04/2008 - Motorcycle Requirements For Students Attending Training at Camp Dodge in Johnston, IA

Students are welcome to ride their motorcycles to our courses, but the following requirements must be met.  Motorcycles must have o­ne rearview mirror mounted o­n the handlebar or fairing and headlights must be o­n at all times.  The minimum personal protective equipment must be worn: a helmet meeting the DOT safety construction standards properly fastened under the chin, impact or shatter-resistant goggles or a full-face shield properly attached to the helmet, full-fingered gloves or mittens, long trousers and long-sleeved shirt or jacket, leather boots or over-the-ankle footwear, a high visibility upper garment (recommend a reflective belt worn diagonally across torso or a reflective vest).  Students are welcome to request a copy of the motorcycle policy.

 
03/17/2008 - Bring Proper Identification!!
MCTC wants to provide a safe and secure learning environment for all students attending courses with our organization.  It is a requirement that students have proper identification upon registration/check-in o­n the first morning of the course.  Proper identification can be department issued or a badge with picture ID.

The Midwest Counterdrug Training Center's mission is to provide the highest quality training at the lowest possible cost to all those involved in the fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse. All of our training is tuition FREE, and is available for law enforcement officers, treatment and prevention professionals and community coalition members. Classes are being added continuously. On-site courses are conducted at Camp Dodge, Johnston, Iowa, near Des Moines. Mobile counterdrug training is also available and may be scheduled upon request.
